It was only a few weeks away before school starts.  I was an incoming freshman in a city college not far from our town.  I was a go-getter in high school so I wanted my college experience to be that way too.  I did not want to be drowned in the sea of newbie’s in school.  I wanted to make a statement the moment I walked through the double doors of the school so I was looking for the perfect outfit to start my new life as a college student.

However, I do not want to go over the top with my outfit. I wanted something simple but catchy.  I was searching online for the perfect dress when I got to this site that sells funny t shirts.  At first I was hesitant about wearing shirt and jeans to my first day as a college student because I thought it was such a simple getup.   But when I browsed the site further, I came to believe that the designs were really funny and catchy. 

I asked my mom if I could use her card to order a couple of t shirts and when she agreed, I immediately ordered several with different styles and designs.  My mom did not mind for she knew that I would be using it anyway.  Come first day of school, a couple of guys and girls were intrigued with my shirt and asked where I got it.  The shirt I wore that day became an instant ice breaker.

I remember as a child a friend of mine used to wear funny t shirts all the time to school. He used to get in get trouble once in a while when the t shirts were a little too offensive. I would always laugh because he actually liked getting in trouble and he thought it was funny.

These days I do not think you could get away with wearing some of the funny shirts like my friend used to have. People are too uptight in school and other places for that kind of activity. They say it takes away from the children’s learning experience in school when someone is being disruptive like that.

I think this is why as adults if we can get away with wearing what we want then we do because in school you are almost like a prisoner. They tell you what to wear and what not and tell you how to act; it gets a little crazy if you ask me.

A good old funny t shirt is not going to keep the other kids from learning if they are that easily distracted by some funny t shirts that the other kids are wearing. I do not agree with today’s tough rules and regulations in school, I think they go overboard a bit.

I love wearing funny t shirts in public and getting people to read them. It seems that no matter where I go, I get compliments on my funny shirts. I started designing them myself about three years ago and put them in an online store. Whenever anyone asks me where I got my t shirt, I just pull out a little business card with the address of my site on it and had it to them.

I think that I get more business by wearing my funny shirts, then I do from any other form of advertising that I do. There are four different colleges located all within about sixty miles of me and it seems that I give a lot of my business cards out to the kids that attend those colleges. I also advertise around the campuses but cannot track how well that does for me.

I am planning on expanding my funny t shirts business next year, with a small shop where people can come in and design their own funny shirts, if they do not like what I have designed. I think that people will love to put their own designs on their own t shirts. I will have to see if the idea works in the shop before I offer that service on my website.

I just bought the hippest Hogan shoes for my goddaughter. She had been shopping with me last week and saw them in a store window. She did not ask me to buy them, she only made the comment that she thought they were really neat. I made a note to myself, to come back right before school started to get them for her.

Well school starts in two days, and I had to come and return the Prada purse that I had bought anyway. The Prada purse needed to be returned because it had a hole in the lining that I did not see when I made the purchase last week.

I was not sure of my goddaughters shoe size so I called and asked her mother. She told me that she wore a size six. I told her not to tell her about the surprise of the Hogan shoes and that I would be at their house very shortly after leaving the mall. She told me that her daughter had been trying to get her to go back to the mall and get the shoes all week, so she knew that she would absolutely love them.

When I got to my goddaughters house, I rang the doorbell and she answered, when she saw the bag I had in my hands, she started screaming. I told her that I had to return the Prada purse anyway, and then decided to just pick up the Hogan shoes.

My colleagues and I were discussing some of the people we had seen lately wearing offensive t shirts and were not sure if most of them were appropriate for their work places or not. We spent about two hours talking about which ones were okay and which ones were not.

The people who work at the arcade and pizza shop that wear funny t shirts seem to be okay. I am not really worried about what my pizza maker is wearing, as long as my pizza comes out hot and it tastes good. If the dude who makes change at the counter wears an offensive t shirt then he should at least make sure he is giving back correct change.

Now, the lady that works at the gym would be okay to wear offensive t shirts, if she did not teach the senior citizen aerobic class every day at ten. I would not want to be one of the seventy year old ladies that have to look at that for an hour. I cannot believe that one of them have not complained yet.

So, if you are not sure if those funny t shirts are okay for your workplace or not, ask your boss, your coworkers, or a customer if they care if you wear them or not.
